just one touch that's enough and it's like pushing comes to shove
___________________
Holly couldn't remember the last time she'd had anything to drink! It felt like forever ago...but in all truth it had been about two nights ago, when she and the band had pretty much gotten smashed. It would be a lie to say that Holly wasn't a drinker. She drunk, she loved to drink. However it would also be a lie to say that she drunk too much. She wasn't out of control...although she did usually get out of control when she had too much to drink...but whatever. Who cared if she liked to have a little fun? Wasn't the point of life to have fun? Of course it was.
That was why she found herself going to the club, even though she couldn't find anyone to join her. Her best friend and band mate Danny was busy, and to be honest she couldn't even think of any other people who would want to party with her. Dee Dee was dead. And Holly was fucked. Actually, she wasn't. She knew how to have fun, she could have a good time all by herself! Either that or just find some random stranger to cling onto for the entire night. Either one worked in her opinion.
Getting ready never took Holly too long. Especially not when all she had to work with where the clothes in her suit case and the mirror in the bathroom on her tour bus. But at the end of the whole twenty minutes it took her to throw on some clothes, do her hair, and throw on a bit of make-up she was ready to go. Actually, almost ready to go. She almost forgot her shoes...classic Holly. But at the last moment she remembered, slipping them on, and gliding out the door, very proud of herself for not having tripped over her own feet in the last hour.
Sadly she didn't know how to drive. But on the bright side the club wasn't that far, and Holly was a fast walker, not to mention she liked walking. So it probably took her a grand total of ten minutes, maybe a bit more, before she was standing in front of the club. The line wasn't too long, and even if it was she probably wouldn't have trouble getting in. She never really did. She also wouldn't have any trouble buying drinks, even if she was a bit underage. She had a fake ID, but she very, very rarely, if ever, got carded.
Walking over to the bouncer and flashing him a smile was all it took. She was in, she didn't even have to wait in the fairly short line. Once she got in was when she started feeling even happier than usual, though. Clubs had good vibes, they always made her feel better. Probably because everyone was having so much fine, even when the drunk people were beating each other up. It was pure bliss. That was probably why she was pretty much skipping over to the bar, with her normal bright smile on her face. It was probably surprising that she wasn't dancing her way there...then again, Holly couldn't dance to save her life.
"I wants a strawberry daiquiri." She told the bartender, sitting on a bar stool. The only bad thing about drinking was that she was sure by the end of the night she'd have danced, and made a fool of herself in public...as usual. But she didn't care. Instead she just gulped down the drink that was set in front of her, loving the taste, and the buzz that she knew would soon follow.

Oh, oh, oh brother totem poleI saw your legends lined up and I never felt more natural So he was finally here then. Finally on the big tour with the supposed big shots of the music industry. It wasn't all that great really, driving around in his black Element behind all the fancy tour buses. It was getting a bit old already and he had just gotten started. Thankfully he'd been able to snag a motel room that let him keep his dog with him. That was really all he needed, something from home to keep him a bit more sane. He'd gotten the Australian shepherd shortly before he'd found out about the tour and honestly Foxx wasn't exactly ready to let go of the dog, attached almost immediately.
He'd been sitting in the room full of his boxes for a few hours already. Watching TV on his mattress absently trying to think of something to do. As time passed the boy had gotten frustrated and found himself showering and getting ready to go out. He needed a drink and he needed some damn interaction. Throwing on a plaid pearl snap over his muscled chest and then sliding into a pair of skinny faded jeans. "Ollie, I'm out pal. Be good." He muttered scratching the dog's head on his way out.
Foxx's snake skin boots clicked loudly on the cement as he walked to the club, it was pretty close to the apartment complex so driving wasn't exactly a necessity. He didn't bother waiting in the line, most of the people were already drunk and didn't seem to notice him slip into the front and hand the bouncer his ID. With a nod he was in the club. He didn't really know what to expect, the city was a lot like home but it was filled with so many people that he should know from the tour and so many people that he didn't. He didn't feel too terribly awkward though, not like most people. Foxx wasn't a nervous guy, he had that confidence that just radiated off of him and so he had no trouble brushing shoulders with people as he moved to the bar.
He was standing behind Holly not really paying much attention to anything except his need for a beer on tap. Her request for a strawberry daiquiri made him smile a bit but it wasn't until she was out of the way and he had a beer in his hand that he noticed her. Making his way closer the boy placed himself in a stool next to her and offered her a smile. "Strawberry daiquiri, eh? You look like a girl that could hold her liquor if she wanted." He wasn't trying to pick her up or anything, it was just his nature. He was that sarcastic type that was social and friendly and could honestly talk to a brick wall.
Something about her was familiar. Foxx took a moment to look her over trying to place her face with a bit of trouble. She was pretty that was for certain, not someone he was likely to forget. And then he put his finger on it. They'd played a gig together a while back, Holly he thought. She was a sweet girl, they'd gotten along fairly well. With another crooked smile he laughed softly to himself. "I hope you remember me, other wise I look like an ass but you're Holly right? Taller than Toms singer?" He asked hoping that he wasn't just a fool.

just one touch that's enough and it's like pushing comes to shove
___________________
Holly was going to need another drink soon...she always started out slow, though, and by the end of the night she was probably doing shots of something. It probably wasn't a good idea to mix her childishness with alcohol, as it made her act like a drunk ten year old half the time. the other half it actually made her act serious, but no one really knew which was worse. But as she was drinking, pretty much humming with happiness. Anyone around her probably thought her completely insane...and they were probably right about that. Many thought she was insane, even when he wasn't drinking. But she'd hardly had enough to drink that it was effecting her in any way at all.
And then she heard a voice. It sounded vaguely familiar. Holly was good with voices, even if she wasn't the best with faces, and she obviously knew this one. Her head turned towards the person who spoke, he had obviously been speaking to her. Of course he looked familiar as well, she noticed, once she took in his features. Yep, she knew him. Though from where she didn't know. She never really knew the details to such things. A giggle escaped her lips when she heard what he said, though it wasn't the type of giggles that slutty girls did thinking it would make guys think they were cute and innocent. It was a childish giggle, it sounded as though it belonged with bubble gum and tricycles, not with alcohol and loud music. "I can if I want to. I start out slow." She explained, twisting a little bit in her stool. That was another thing that made her so much like a small child: She could never sit still.
Just as she was about to ask if she knew him from somewhere he was talking again. That was where she knew him from! They'd done a show together, she was almost positive. Either that or he was a fan and wanted to take a picture or dance with her or some shit so he could brag about it to all his friends, but she was going with the first one. "Yes! I'm Holly! You're...the guy. I forgot your name." She giggled once more, and didn't bother to explain that she was horrible with names, even though that was probably the only reason she'd forgotten it. Sometimes she even forgot her own name, that was why she was glad she had others to remind her of it. "We did a show together, right?" It wasn't really that much of a question, she already knew the answer, but better safe than sorry.

Oh, oh, oh brother totem poleI saw your legends lined up and I never felt more natural Foxx was the guy that didn't follow the unspoken rule of 'beer before liquor never been sicker'. Instead he downed a couple beers to get him a little saucy to loosen up a bit and then the strong drinks came along and then eventually, unless he was stopped, he'd be downing shots. He wasn't a horrible drunk, he didn't get angry like ass hole's he knew and he didn't turn into a creep either. No Foxx was just a little more goofier, the guy that picked up girls with super cheesy pick up lines and ended up jumping in a pool or something by the end of the night. Definitely not his shiniest moments but he was a character to be around. That guy that went to the party and people enjoyed being around instead of fearing. So Foxx didn't really feel the need to go slow like most but he did know his limits.
That giggle was so odd to hear coming from her mouth. It reminded him of his friend's little sisters that had crushes on him. This girl didn't seem to do it for attention it just really seemed to be her mannerisms. And then she was squirming around in her chair also like a child. What an odd girl, not in a bad way but in a way that he didn't really understand. It was refreshing to be talking to someone that wasn't throwing her body at him and trying to seduce him. Foxx didn't think he was very attractive but he knew that he had a personality hat seemed to draw people in for some reason. It was nice that she was just happy to respond honestly, like she understood he was teasing and not picking her up. "Good plan." He remarked softly.
They'd definitely done a show together, but her response was a bit disappointing. Ah well you win some you lose some he thought laughing softly to himself at how excited she was. "That guy eh? Sure narrows it down. My name's Foxxer Price." He hopped she at least remembered his name, other wise he'd look like an ass. He knew he wasn't a big deal or anything but it was a pretty big crowd that had showed up and not a lot of bands so he hoped that she'd remembered. He'd hung out with part of their band afterwards, had a couple drinks, that kind of thing. At her second question he nodded. "Yeah in LA if I remember correctly." Thank god she remembered him.
Taking another sip of his beer he then settled back into his stool to look at her. "So you on the tour then?" He was assuming she was, I mean first she was in a band and second she was in the same city that the tour was also landed in. It'd certainly be nice if she was, it'd be great to have an ally here. The boy absently ran a hand through his shaggy locks, waiting for a reply. He didn't really know what else to say just yet, all of the sudden slightly bad with words. It was unlike him but then again he was tired and hadn't talked to someone in quite a long time.

just one touch that's enough and it's like pushing comes to shove
___________________
Holly had never been the type to throw herself at any guy that crossed her path. Every now and then she would find someone who was worthy of her doing so, but mostly she just wanted to be friends with everyone on earth. Of course if someone wanted to add some benefits to their friendship she was more than likely going to be down, as long as that someone was male, and at least slightly attractive. But relationships were a no, the few she'd been in ended badly, and she refused to date anyone who was a friend to her, for fear of losing their friendship...and for fear of commitment. Her longest boyfriend had been a week, and he'd also been a friend before they had started dating. Now they couldn't get along in the least. Needless to say she'd learned her lesson.
So although this guy was obviously attractive, and in such an original way, she wasn't going to throw herself at him. She was just going to talk to him like he was any other normal human being. Even if she got incredibly drunk she probably wouldn't do such a thing. She might flirt a little bit, but that would probably be all. She did like that he didn't seem to be hitting on her, or anything of the sort. That was always nice, but sometimes it got a bit old, no matter how much she liked it.
Once she heard his name she remembered him almost completely. Holly felt a tiny bit bad for not remembering his name, but it was normal for her. "Right, sorry. I'm horrible with names. I like yours, though! It's lovely." Another giggle escaped her lips, and then she sucked up a bit more of her drink. "I've never heard it before. And there are so many potential nick names that could come out of it!" rambles such as this were completely common for Holly, even if they were around people she didn't know all that well. "I do think it was LA, though, I can't quite remember. I really have a horrible memory, or so everyone says. I actually can't remember what I had for breakfast...or lunch...of if I've had anything to eat today. I might have forgotten." That was true. She often forgot to eat, especially now that her brother wasn't here to remind her. She really needed a babysitter, but no one was up for the job.
His question about the tour was a simple one. She probably could have answered it in a single word, but she was Holly, she knew no one worded answer. "Yep! With my band, I think you met them. None of them wanted to come with me tonight, though, they said something about how normal people have to sleep. So I'm all alone. Well, not anymore, now you're here!" Her whitest smile was flashed at him, and even though she was probably scaring him away she didn't even think of toning it down a bit. Maybe he'd just think she was already drunk.

Oh, oh, oh brother totem poleI saw your legends lined up and I never felt more natural Foxxer wasn't one of those sleaze balls that scammed on girls and then threw them out like they were trash. He was a slightly sensitive guy but really he was just a gentleman. When you're raised by girls you're not really allowed to be an ass hole to girls. You would think that made him a prime candidate for relationships but well let's be frank, he wasn't real good at keeping them. His last relationship had been pretty bad, boy meets girl, girl dates boy, girl sleeps with boy's best friend, that sort of scenario. He'd mostly stuck with casual dating and close friends ever since. He wasn't afraid of many things but to be honest he wasn't ready to get screwed over again any time soon. Maybe that meant he was a pansy but he didn't really give a damn any more. It wasn't worth it, or at least he hadn't found a girl that was worth it.
Foxx found Holly pretty, her innocence was even more appealing in a way. But he really didn't have the gall to try and pick her up. No Foxx just wanted to get a little sauced and maybe take some shots and then head home and pass out. If he happened to have someone pretty to keep him company and talk with, well then that was a good day. Foxx wasn't really the kind of guy that fed off sexual needs, I mean he was a guy and like guys he did think about it a lot but he didn't let it rule his life like most.
When she spoke he smiled at her, eyes dancing around her face with curiosity. It was like everything he said was something new and exciting. "Thanks, I like yours as well." He replied honestly with a sheepish shrug. When she spoke about not hearing it before he chuckled softly with a nod. Yeah, my parents are very into names that are different. My sisters names are pretty much equally weird." She liked to ramble which was good with him cause sometimes he wasn't much of a talker. "I understand the memory thing, I have some issues with remembering important things like when my next gig is and such. Poses a few problems, let's be honest." He needed a personal assistant or something.
"Yeah I met them, nice guys. Sleep? Who needs it? Besides those normal people that don't get out much. I don't sleep a lot, at least not until late that is. And I'm glad that I'm able to keep you company. It's nice to see a familiar face in a city where I know absolutely no one." Her smile made him grin back playfully. She was goofy, it was cute. He took another long swig of his beer. "So you're just here drinking then?" He asked turning towards the tender briefly and ordering another beer as he killed his first one down.

just one touch that's enough and it's like pushing comes to shove
___________________
Holly had never been too good at telling when people didn't like her, but she was usually pretty good at telling when they did. At telling when she wasn't getting on their nerves. And oddly enough she didn't seem to be bugging this guy at all, not with her constant stream of words, or with the fact that she was acting like a four year old with too much sugar intake right before bed time. That just made her like him even more. He was being so nice! It was incredibly hard to find truly nice people anymore, it was, even people she considered friends were all rude. Maybe not to her, but they were rude to others. She wasn't exactly the most polite, or sweet girl ever, but she did try. And she was as sweet as a peanut butter cup as long as you didn't make her mad. She had a temper on her, but usually that temper stayed hidden until she was insulted, or made upset, or anything of the sort.
"I like unique names. My brother's name is Lucas, so I definitely got the more unique name, but I like his name as well. It fits him." The main reason for her rambling on about her brother was that she missed him like crazy, even if she wouldn't admit it, not to anyone. Her was her other half, truly, her twin brother, even though he'd always acted like an older brother. He'd taken care of her, even when their parents were supposed to. Not that Holly had bad parents, they were great, they just couldn't always take care of her. Like when she was at parties and some guy wouldn't stop following her around. Contrary to popular belief he had a mean right hook, Holly had seen it in action. "What are your sisters names?" The question was posed in a blunt, slightly childish way, the way she said just about everything. Like a four year old asking a question that they already knew the answer to, or didn't even need to know the answer to.
"Oh, god, it does! My band members are forever having to text me because I'm late for practice, but in all truth I usually just forget about it completely. The only reason they keep me around is because they can't find a new singer, otherwise they'd get one who knew such thing as a clock." That was a joke. She and her band members loved each other. Sure they got in small fights, but that was okay, who didn't get in little fights?
"You don't know anyone? That must be horrible!" A frown appeared on her lips. She couldn't empathize for two reasons: one being that she was horribly at empathy, and sympathy, and anything like that, two being that she'd had her band members and several others she'd known because having to go there for the tour. "Well, if you're ever feeling lonely and need company don't hesitate to ask me." Although Holly wasn't much of a sleeper, not usually sleeping until midnight at the earliest she was always awake by five o'clock AM. It was insane, her sleeping schedule, almost as crazy as her eating schedule. "Yep, just drinking. Although I might dance later." Another one of her giggles escaped her lips at that. She was a horrible dancer, she was. Probably because she couldn't take ten steps on a flat surface without tripping over her own feet. Okay, she was pretty good at slow dancing, but when it came to real dancing that was a No.
Her drink was about half way gone by this time, and so she downed the rest quickly, and set the glass down, debating what to get next. She could always just get another, or she could go with something different. Decisions, decisions.

Oh, oh, oh brother totem poleI saw your legends lined up and I never felt more natural
No Holly was definitely not bugging Foxx plus Foxx was too desperate to be picky. Even if he was going to be picky Holly was too sweet to not hang out with. The boy was a genuine guy, he was hardly rude unless you really deserved it. He was happy to talk to anyone that wanted to talk to him. He'd grown up to smile and be polite and save bad feelings for later when no one was around. If you were in public no matter who it was, you were polite.
Lucas was a good name though, he sometimes wished that he had a more normal name. When she asked about his sisters he smiled with a quiet laugh. "Ashlin is the oldest, still no clue where that came from. Carlisle is the middle child, it's a family name." He missed his sisters often. The three of them were all very close and the girls loved to watch out for there brother. They were goofy and sweet and he hadn't seen them in a month. Talking about them made him miss them all the more. He'd have to call them soon and maybe even go see them soon. "Is it just you and Lucas? Or do you have more siblings? He asked cocking his head curiously as he waited for her answer. He figured that her brother was probably the protective type, he knew that he was. Brothers were like that. Always overreacting about everything that concerned their sisters. Foxx had kicked many guys asses over Carlisle, she was the partyer of the pair. Ashlin was much more level headed and kept Carlisle as safe as she could.
He laughed when she began to ramble about her memory. "You sound just like me. Luckily I'm a solo artist so my band can't get pissed at me cause there is no band." He said with a flirty wink and another charming crooked smile. Foxx just oozed charm. He had the smile and the eye contact and the posture that just drew you in almost. The ironic part of it was that he was actually genuine about it all. Most of the time he was entirely interested about all of it.
When she spoke again he nodded and let a sigh escape his lips. "Tell me about it. I hate not knowing people." He agreed. He was a social guy and being in a city where he didn't know a soul was awful. At her offer he grinned. "I'll definitely be taking you up on that, thanks girl." He said excited that he now had a friend who was also beautiful. At her answer to his question he nodded. He was doing the same thing, well except for the whole dancing part. He didn't dance, ever. It was like a train wreck waiting to happen. He had no skills with the moves. When he was plastered he could do a bit but I mean he had to be gone.
Foxx noticed her drink was empty along with his own. "Can I buy you a drink? Something girly or we could be daring and do shots?" He asked with another playful grin and a waggle of his eyebrows.

just one touch that's enough and it's like pushing comes to shove
___________________
In all truth Holly didn't really know how she had been brought up...while she loved her parents they hadn't done much of her upbringing. She was of an upper class family, believe it or not, and so her millions of nanny's were really the ones who'd raised her to be the lovely individual she was to this very day. Although whether or not they did a good job was probably debatable. Although Holly was usually polite and sweet she was also incredibly blunt, usually stating whatever was on her mind when it was on it, no matter if it was considered taboo, or if it was just plain rude. But she didn't try to be rude, she really didn't, it just happened like that sometimes. But mostly she was a nice girl. She smiled and thanked the people at stores, she said sorry when she bumped into people because she wasn't paying attention, if she found a lot of money on the ground she'd bring it to the police...unless she really, really needed it.
But she did like his sisters names, and they were definitely interesting ones. She'd heard of Carlisle for a guy, but never on a female, and Ashlin was an interesting one as well. He and his family seemed to kind of make even her name sound boring. "Oh, those are lovely names!" She gushed, a smile on her face. "Very original. I feel bad for people who are named Jane, or anything like that. But those are simply lovely." His next question caused her to nod. It was just she and Luke, her parents hadn't wanted any more, and Holly was kind of glad. She'd had to fight for their attention when she was young enough at it was. Of course now that she was so far away from them she got it...now that she wasn't really so sure she wanted it. "Nope, no more siblings, just me and Lukey. But Luke's very..." She paused for a moment, trying to think of the word. "Attentive. I never got lonely, or anything, because he was always around...even when I didn't want him to be." He was the one constant thing in her life, the one thing that was never changing. In truth it was kind of hard for her to be here in this place without him, even if she wouldn't admit it to many. The phone calls she got from him about once a day just weren't enough for two people who were as closely bonded as she and Luke. Maybe she could make him come down some weekend.
A giggle escaped her lips at what he next said. He was so...what was the word...charismatic. She couldn't help but like him...although Holly liked just about anyone. "You're good, though! I heard you...that one time. I'm not just saying that, either. From what I remember you were good." Another giggle. It wasn't exactly a lie, or anything like that, Holly could remember that she'd liked his music...she just couldn't exactly remember what his music was like, or anything. Odd, as she was usually very good at remembering such things. names and faces slipped right away, but songs and lyrics stayed in her brain forever.
Holly was glad that he said he was going to take her up on her offer...mostly because she always liked making new friends, but also because he was completely gorgeous. Not in the way that most guys around tour were, he didn't have one of those pretty girly faces that a majority of people did, no, he was a looker, just not in a classic way. And he actually had a personality. It was actually kind of amazing that he even seemed to like her, she mostly attracted the attention of complete creepers, or people with the same amount of personality as cardboard. "I can introduce you to some people, as well." She offered, smiling sweetly. "I know quite a few people."
"Shots? Not yet." Shaking her head, she shot him a smile. It was a bit too early for shots...but give her time and her answer might just change. "But a girly drink would be great. How about a pina colada?"
