A suggestion for the 'When I get home you're so dead' board. I'm forever wanting to find a thread after it's been finished, but with the way the archive board is at the moment it would be a bit difficult to find a thread. My suggestion: either build the archives into the current board - so, have a subboard in each current board where finished threads go. This is probably what I'd prefer because you don't have to go to a different board/category to find the closed thread. Or, have subboards in the current archive board so it's easy to find a thread from its location. Just an idea, it would be very much appreciated if it was put in place though

Hm. I've never seen a request for someone to be able to read threads after they've been finished, but sure.
I don't think it'd be good if we make suboards in the locations. It looks messy that way. We could do something in the archive, however. You'd just have to give either me or Elizabeth some time to read through the threads and find out which ones are finished.

yeah, I've been pondering how exactly to organize them since reading this yesterday, but I agree, sub boards on locations would be messy. I've never seen it done...
I'm thinking about maybe alphabatizing it? That would make it a bit easier to find threads.

Well generally when I'm looking for threads it's because either I enjoyed reading it the first time and want to again, or because I want to check a detail. But I generally don't remember a thread by its name, especially if it's been a while ago - I remember the location though, because I'll know what was in the thread if I'm looking for it and the location kinda leads on from that. So alphabetising it could work, but not always. I figure you'd have to read the threads already in archives to start with to see where it goes, but the first post would generally give the location. After that it would be easy enough to move finished threads to subboards in the archives because you'd be able to see straight away where they're located.

As you requested, there is a suboard in the archive with the finished threads. So far, only three. Lemme know if there's anything you need otherwise.

Wait, I'm confused now... Aren't all the threads in the archives finished anyway? Sorry, when I said subboards I was talking about subboards for the locations, like on the main forum boards, to help organise it better. Like this: (excuse the posting of another forum, feel free to remove it once you've taken a look, I wasn't sure how else to describe it though) ragedsyphers.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=oldthreads

friendly suggestion for ya haylie:
perhaps for those threads you enjoyed reading you should bookmark, that way no matter where they are placed in the future all you have to do is go to your profile, click bookmarks, then chose whatever one you were looking for. it generally saves on time once more things are added to the archieves area

well, not all archived threads have to be finished. sometimes they get abandoned, or someone leaves the sites, ect. but I see what you mean now, and I'll take it into consideration. I kind of like the idea, so I may end up doing it.

Ah, okay. So it's for dead threads and completed threads. And Dee Dee, I would do that, except generally I don't know which threads I'm going to want to look for until I want to check that detail. :/ They're not always ones I've been involved in, for instance on the site I posted there's a main plot and a fair amount happened with the mythology and people surrounding that before I joined. There's still one battle I've never actually found which someone once mentioned to me haha. I doubt I'll ever find it, because it's scattered in several different locations. But for the most part, location subboards do help.
Sorry for the confusion, and sorry if I'm being difficult >.<

You're not being difficult at all, we want to hear your suggestions, or else we wouldn't have a suggestion board. :3
